How to Use Pinky Waterless Wash the Right Way

A clean, glossy vehicle does not always require a hose and bucket. Pinky Waterless Wash from JDAG Car Products is a concentrated 16 oz waterless wash designed for convenient light cleaning between traditional washes, especially when water access is limited. Before use, Pinky must be diluted 10:1 with water.

Important: Dilute Pinky 10:1 Before Use

Pinky Waterless Wash is a concentrate and should not be used straight from the bottle. Mix 10 parts water with 1 part Pinky concentrate. For example, to prepare 22 oz of ready-to-use solution, combine 20 oz of water with 2 oz of Pinky. Always mix the solution in a clean spray bottle before beginning your detail.

When should you use a waterless wash?

Waterless washing is best suited for vehicles with light dust, fingerprints, fresh road film, or minor surface contamination. If the vehicle is heavily covered in mud, sand, gritty dirt, or thick road salt, use a traditional rinse-and-wash method first. Dragging heavy contamination across the paint can increase the risk of scratches and swirl marks.

What you will need

Have your properly diluted Pinky Waterless Wash solution, a clean spray bottle, and several clean, plush microfiber towels ready. Using multiple towels is important because a dirty towel should not continue moving contamination around the vehicle.

Step-by-step: the correct technique

1. Dilute Pinky 10:1 with water before use. Work in the shade on a cool surface and avoid allowing the solution to dry on the panel.

2. Inspect the panel before touching it. If you see heavy grit, mud, or abrasive contamination, stop and rinse the vehicle instead.

3. Work one small section at a time. Spray enough diluted Pinky Waterless Wash to thoroughly wet the area you are about to clean. Good coverage helps provide lubrication between the towel and the surface.

4. Gently wipe in straight lines with a clean microfiber towel. Use very light pressure and avoid aggressive circular scrubbing.

5. Frequently turn the towel to a clean side. Once all sides become soiled, replace it with a fresh microfiber towel.

6. Use a second clean, dry microfiber towel to lightly buff the section and reveal a clean, finished surface.

7. Continue panel by panel, generally working from cleaner upper areas toward dirtier lower sections of the vehicle.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not apply the concentrate undiluted, do not use one towel for the entire vehicle, and do not scrub stubborn grit into the paint. A waterless wash is not a replacement for a proper wash when the vehicle is heavily contaminated. Also avoid working in direct sun whenever possible.

More cleaning solution from one 16 oz bottle

Because Pinky is concentrated at a 10:1 dilution ratio, one 16 oz bottle can be mixed with up to 160 oz of water, producing approximately 176 oz (1.375 gallons) of ready-to-use waterless wash solution.

A simple solution for maintenance cleaning

When properly diluted and used with clean microfiber towels and a gentle technique, Pinky Waterless Wash can make routine vehicle maintenance faster and more convenient. Keep it in your detailing setup for quick cleanups, car meets, garage maintenance, or situations where a full wash is not practical.

Pinky Waterless Wash Concentrate 16 oz is available from JDAG Car Products. Dilute 10:1, use the proper microfiber technique, and keep your vehicle looking freshly detailed between washes.
